Dr. Mendoza was born in Chicago and grew up in Elmhurst, IL. He first started working for Hinsdale Animal Hospital back in 2015 as a veterinary technician. He studied at Benedictine University for his undergraduate degree and received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois- Champaign-Urbana. He is a member of the CVMA and AVMA and is USDA-APHIS certified.  He is excited to be rejoining the Hinsdale Animal Hospital team as a doctor.  

 In 2017, Dr. Mendoza was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy at Loyola University Cancer center. Since then, he has been in remission and living out his dream of becoming a veterinarian. His professional interests include oncology and internal medicine. 

In his free time, he enjoys going to Cubs games, listening to music, and outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and playing basketball. His favorite dog breed is the Rhodesian Ridgeback
