Dr. Plomin was born in Chicago and grew up in Oak Park, IL. She is an alumna of the University of Illinois - Champaign-Urbana, where she received both her BS in Animal Sciences and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Dr. Plomin became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) from the University of Tennessee in 2015, allowing her to hone her skills in physical therapy and integrative medicine. She is also PennHip certified, AO certified, USDA-APHIS accredited, is an active member of the ISVMA and AVMA and served as President of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) in 2022. Dr. Plomin has special interests in surgery, dermatology and working with exotic pets. 

In her spare time, Dr. Plomin stays busy with her husband, daughter, two dogs, cat, snake and turtle! She enjoys being out in nature running, SCUBA diving and practicing yoga.
